The Filibuster
I am sickened by the senate, IMO they are just a bunch of phonies! Instead of using the nuclear option (majority rules), I would like to see these idiots sit in the senate whenever there is a filibuster until one side concedes to the other. It is outrageous that senators can just invoke the filibuster without actually having to carry it out. I don’t want to hear that work needs to be done. The senate needs to resolve these issues and if both sides feels strongly enough on an issue then they should sit in the senate until it is resolved. After all that is why we pay them.

I like the filibuster for legislative bills. If the minority has enough support, it can make the majority go back and tweak, adjust, or otherwise rewite a bill to make it acceptable. In this way, the minority position is protected.
Judicial nominees are a different story. People are not capricious pieces of legislation that can be systematically taken apart and put together again into more acceptable forms. Judicial nominees require take em or leave em votes.
Maybe the Senate can go into a conclave like the cardinals do when electing a pope. Lock em in a room and don't let em out until they vote.
